Our Review of the Bugaboo Graco Car Seat Adapter - Frog/Cameleon
All Bugaboo strollers allow you to attach the Graco SnugRide Infant Car Seat directly to the base of your stroller. This convenient seat connector allows you to move your baby from your car to your stroller without disturbing nap time. The infant car seat can either be positioned to either face you or away, so baby can enjoy looking and mom or dad or face away to enjoy the view.

Bugaboo Graco Car Seat Adapter - Great Purchase

The Bugaboo Graco Car Seat Adapter was a lifesaver since my baby hates laying flat in the bassinet but loves to ride around in her carseat. The adapter stuck a bit in the beginning and it was hard to remove the car seat, but that has since resolved with use... Great purchase. Just wish the bassinet feature of the Bugaboo was optional.

Bugaboo Car Seat Connector - Just a warning...

Although it is a great convenience to be able to relocate baby while in their car seat - it's NOT recommended to keep the baby in the car seat for more than 2 hours; it's not good for their head, neck, and spine. The majority of parents don't know this - and I've seen babies in their car seats for hours on end. This is why the bassinet is one of the greatest benefits of the Bugaboo - because baby can be in a more natural position when you're out on the go. Also, it might be important to point out that while most websites indicate the Graco connector works for both the Snugride and SafeSeat models - if you check Bugaboo's website it only lists the SnugRide as the compatible Graco model. The SafeSeat may fit with some adjusting - but the adapter was originally designed to fit the SnugRide.

Works Great!

I purchased this item for my Graco Safeseat and it works fine. I don't know what the Graco Snugride would have been like but for the Safeseat you just need a little finesse and not force it in. Just make sure the car seat is sitting on the adapter correctly and then just gently push the snaps in. It really worked out well for me and it's really sturdy. It's not cumbersome if you just keep it in your car and it's super easy to get onto your Bugaboo.

Worth it!

I bought this because I was so tired of waking my son up to take him out of his carseat and put him into the buggy. It is great. Although, it is a little tough to lock into place, it isn't that bad and my husband says he can tell that it is starting to loosen up some, so you don't have to jerk it around so much. Just make sure the the piece in the front locks into place that you might have to do yourself. I think it is totally worth the price. Now when my son falls asleep in the car, I can keep him asleep when we get out.

I have to say i got my bugaboo stroller from the Ellen Degeneres show for the mothers day special and i just had to have this attachment to it. This is so convenient for me especially that my son falls asleep in his car seat and as soon as i pop out the stroller and attach the car seat connector and snap the car seat and hes set and to top it off my son is still sound sleep as if he were still in the car. I absolutely recommend this to a great deal of first time mom users. This product is not hard to use at all meaning snapping the car seat on and snapping it off very simple, if your having difficulties please read the instructions and maybe practice a few times putting the car seat in lock and unlock position if it helps!

Graco Seat Connector

I have purchase Graco Safeseat step 1 to go with adapter, but its very difficult to snap adapter into carseat. You have to turn car seat upside down and use all your strength to push the adapter into the carseat. Not very convenient if you have a baby inside the carseat

Attaching the Graco Safe Seat Step 1 can be a bit cumbersome. There is actually a little trick that may help you. You will want to make sure you have the front end first, having the metal hooks on the car seat on the hooks of the adapter, then you will have to put some force in pushing the red hook in the back of the car seat. Doing it in this sequence should help. If you are still experiencing problems you may want to contact Bugaboo directly to see if they may be able to determine what the problem is. They have great customer service, and will be more then happy to help. Thank you for the review!

Graco adapter works great!

We purchased the Graco car seat adapter and it has worked great! My husband was skeptical and thought this was an unnecessary purchase-once we had our baby and wanted to "let sleeping babies lie" he soon realized how great this product is! We use it all the time and it is a cinch to operate. We highly recommend it to anyone with the Snugride car seat.

Great for Our Snugride

The Graco adapater is a must have if you use your Bugaboo as your car stroller. It is so convenient to set up the stroller with the adapter and just snap the Graco car seat into it without having to take the sleeping baby out of the car seat, risking waking her up while transitioning her into the carry cot. We use it with our Snugride car seat...not the Step 1 Safe Seat. That seat took up too much space in our Volvo XC90.

Tight Fit

I also have the Graco SafeSeat (purchased in late 2006) and mine does fit into the adapter ... originally my car seat easily snapped in to the adapter just like it does to the car seat base, but after a few times, I thought it stopped working. It turns out you just have to make sure you put the front end in first (metal loops of the car seat over the hooks on the adapter), then push HARD to click the red hook in the back of the car seat over the back of the adapter. I'm not sure why mine went from easy to such a tight fit, but it does work properly, and I use it all the time. A must for running quick errands in the car where you don't want to take the baby in and out of the car seat.
