Bugaboo Frog owners who want to keep their child cool and comfortable while shielding them from insects and harmful UVA and UVB rays should check out the Bugaboo Frog Sun Shade. This Sun Shade, which only comes in silver, attaches to your Bugaboo Frog's existing sun canopy and wraps the entire seat area in a fine polyester mesh fabric. This mesh is fully ventilated and treated with a special coating of UV reflective material that blocks 65% of UV rays.

The Bugaboo Frog Sun Shade provides shielding from insects, and meets the strictest sun protection rating on the planet: Australian Standard SPF 50+. We live in bright and shiny sunny South Carolina. I have taken my boys for many stroller rides during the height of the day using the sunshade. They never burned and slept great. The breeze flows through and the harmful rays stay out. It also folds up into a tight ball and cleans well too. This accessory is a terrific addition to the Bugaboo accessory line. The only shortcoming is people can't see the baby from the outside... and they will want to because it's being transported in a stylin' ride!

Sunshade keeps baby cooler

I like the way the baby is completely shaded in my frog. I bought the breezy canopy for Frog and this sunshade and together they make a silver cocoon on my navy blue frog. The fabric seems frail, so I'm handling it carefully. It is easy to install and fits the frog great. I wish it were easier to open and close so I can more easily hand my baby toys while we are out walking. Right now if I open the sunshade, the loops holding it to the canopy knob fall off the hook, and I have to fiddle with the whole thing again to get the shade closed. In bright sunlight, there is a significant glare off the sunshade (and the breezy canopy) so it is a little hard to see what my infant is doing. I look forward to an improved sunsade from Bugaboo in the next year, I will immediately buy one that opens and closes easier!

I live in Key West where the sun is always shining and this shade is grade as acts as a mossie net too. I am happy with this product like all the other bugaboo products - and the price is great too.

Living in sunny southern California, I'm finding the sunshade to be very useful. We'll also be using it when visiting in-laws in the Midwest, where the mosquito population is notorious! This will be great doubling as a bug shield too. Only downside, it can get a little hot under the hood sometimes. I'm hoping that the breezy canopy will take care of that (I checked w/Bugaboo customer service and the Frog breezy canopy is due for release in late summer '07).

No Breezy Canopy for FROG?!?!

We have the Frog and are finding the late spring/summer weather to be too hot for using the sun shaded that comes with the stroller. We like the new Breezy Canopy but are shocked to find that Bugaboo DOES NOT MAKE A BREEZY CANOPY FOR THE FROG! Only the sunshade shown above? What Gives??
