If you have your eye out for a style-conscious stroller that is as versatile as you are, the Bumbleride Queen B should be at the top of your stroller search short list. If color coordination between your various parenting accessories is your thing, Bumbleride now offers matching Infant Car Seat Covers for your baby's safety seat, and a custom fitted Rain Shield as well.

Another great attribute of the Queen B is its excellent shock absorption, like an old-school pram. In truth, the Queen B is not the easiest stroller to maneuver because of its pram-like wheel setup. Even with the limited pivot of the front wheels, you'll likely need to lift the front wheels for sharp turns. While the steering capabilities of the Queen B aren't quite as flexible as the swivel wheel Bumbleride Indie Stroller, the front wheels of the Queen B convert from a limited pivot to a more stable fixed position in just two seconds with the flip of a switch.

For your child, the five-point safety harness and padded front bumper bar provide important safety measures that enhance the Queen B's appearance. An adjustable footrest and retractable sun canopy provide your child with customizable comfort options, while the adjustable handlebar makes it easy for mom, dad, aunts, and grandmas to push the Queen B at a comfortable height. The seat reclines completely flat or into an upright sitting position.

The standard seat of the Queen B stroller is comfortable and attaches easily. The Queen B Bassinet installs in seconds and gives your baby a comfortable and luxurious place to nap while you stroll. You can also add the Bumbleride Toddler Seat to the front of the regular seat (by replacing the front bumper bar) and transform your single stroller into a tandem in seconds. With just two snaps, you'll have room for two on your Bumbleride Queen B. Coordinate your infant car seat with the Bumbleride Infant Car Seat Cover

These accessories are included with the Queen B:

  • Insulated footmuff
  • Cup holder
  • Universal car seat adaptor
  • Tire air pump

Bottom Line: At 31 lbs., the Queen B is certainly not the lightest stroller on the market. Built for durability and long-term use, the Queen B has more in common with traditional prams and pushchairs than lightweight and maneuverable all-terrain jogging strollers like the Bumbleride Indie. If you're looking for stylish strollers that are lighter and adhere to a more contemporary design aesthetic, check out the Indie or one of Bugaboo's stylish all terrain strollers.

For a stroller with a second seat option, and better maneuverability, check out the Valco Runabout Tri Mode or the new Phil and Teds SP.

Note: The Bumbleride Queen B folds up very easily. So easily, in fact, that the handle can get away from you as it is collapsing. Its important to keep a good grip on the handle and ease it downward during the folding process.

Love it, but...

I really do love this stroller, it's so sturdy, beautiful looking and comfortable for my daughter. But, if you want to use it in an urban area (we recently moved into a downtown condo in a large city) it's not great for getting on and off elevators, around store aisles and through doorways. The front wheels seem to be the main issue in that department and I can see why many other comparable strollers have small front wheels. I bought this stroller when we lived in a more residential area and used for about 6 months and it was great for taking long walks around the neighborhood, to the park and even on well trod nature trails, but for city living it's a bit bulky. But, the large front wheel issue aside, the wheels do provide a smooth ride. The basket is nice and large. I have the toddler seat, but have not used it yet because I only have one kid so far, but I like that it goes on the front rather than underneath the main seat. The bassinet is easy to switch with the main seat. If you want a classic pram this is the one to choose. Additionally, Elitecarseats.com was so easy to order from, has super fast shipping and I like the return insurance option.

Most sensible for growing families

It can be frustrating trying to figure out a double system when an older child may not be in a stroller for much longer. I purchased the Queen B for my 24 month old and am expecting a baby in a few months, so also purchased the toddler seat. Positives: very easy to assemble (15 minutes, no tools), high quality, smooth ride, easy to push, great looking, fits into my VW Passat trunk with front wheels off. I had a hard time finding reviews for this stroller and how it may or may not fit into a trunk. The wheels literally pop off with a button and go on as easily and this is a must for my trunk, although it is only too big by a 1/2 inch or so. This extra step takes less than 20 seconds, the first time I tried. Cons: It is heavy -- it took about 3 times in and out of the trunk for me to feel comfortable with how that was going to work. Now it's as easy as a traditional full-size stroller. I hated my traditional stroller travel system because it felt rickety and the plastic wheels made the ride bumpy. The toddler seat pops on and off easily too, and the room between the full-size seat and the toddler seat is VERY big. No need to worry about squishing a child between them. As other reviews state, the steering is different than a traditional stroller -- makes wider turns. Again, takes a bit to get use to but I wouldn't say it is harder to maneuver than traditional stroller, just different. All in all, this is the most sensible solution for an older toddler and a young baby. No need to waste money on a double wide or tandem, and it is much cooler and higher-quality than the sit-stand type.

Hard to push

1
Reviewer: Anonymous , Clifton, NJ Date: November 11, 2007
I was so excited when I found this stroller, I ordered it in the Cosmo fabric. I own a bugaboo, but when my third child was born, my second child was only 15 months, therefore I needed a double stroller. The Queen B was perfect because it has a "toddler seat" attachment. The stroller arrived broken, the brake portion of the stroller was broken. I called Jogging Stroller and they sent me a replacement within a few days. I purchased the stroller in February 2007, but didn't really use it until the weather got warmer in May. When I used it I noticed it was very hard to push. I read reviews and saw other people complain about the same as well. I thought it was just a hard to push stroller, and since I had owned it for 3 months, I would not be able to return it. It has been in storage since I purchased it. Last weekend my husband tried the stroller again. He noticed that the two front wheels wobble towards each other. We called the manufacturer. They gave us the phone number of their repair shop, we called and we were asked to bring the stroller in. The repair shop is a two hour drive away from me and the hours 9am to 5PM, Monday through Friday. I will try taking a day off to see if they can correct this problem and will update my review then. So far I regret making this purchase.

It's A Dream!

We purchased the Bumbleride Queen B in Dec. 2006, we were having our second child and were going to need a double stroller. I saw it online and was happy to see that you can purchase a toddler seat to attach it to the stroller. I thought it was brilliant! We ended up buying the stroller, bassinet and toddler seat all together. I was so happy to receive it 2 weeks before my due date and used it with my first child. I got so many wonderful comments on it and after using it with my second child the comments kept on coming. The color ruby was just as I pictured it and its beautiful! I have to say it's my favorite stroller and it's so much better than those double strollers out there. I am so pleased with it I can't thank you enough!! :)

The best

This stroller & bassinet we ordered in Nov. of '06, could not be more perfect! The bassinet was used as the primary bassinet for our grandson. He was born at 29 weeks, and required an apnea monitor when he came home from the nicu. The monitor fit in the large basket underneath, and his parents wheeled him around in the house to keep him close. This stroller also has an add on seat to become a double stroller. The workmanship is superb and Jogging Stroller was prompt and courteous!

Comments from The Staff:

Thanks for the compliment! I'm glad we could help you out!
