Our Review of the Drink Deputy Drink Deputy
New parents catch on quick. One of the first things you learn is that you can't punish a child for throwing food off the table; it's part of their learning process, both in figuring out how gravity works and how their limbs work.
That doesn't mean its not annoying, especially when you're out to dinner or strolling through the mall and junior keeps tossing his sippy cup to the floor every 30 seconds.
For that reason alone, you need the Drink Deputy. This extremely simple item (its basically a well configured fabric strap) can fit a bottle of nearly any size, including water bottles, and it always bounces back to fit a small cup.

Good...but falling apart

I LOVED this when I first got it because it was easy to attach sippy cup to (i don't use ones with handles). But after a couple of weeks of use...the stitching is coming apart. If it weren't for the poor stitch quality...would definitely give it 5 stars. just expected it to last longer than that...

Drink Deputy

I took the drink deputy with me to Lookout Mountain, Rock City and Ruby Falls in Tennessee. I attached it to her car seat, stroller and her clothes. The trip would have been difficult without it. Every time she saw something interesting she just throw her bottle down. The drink deputy saved us from constantly washing and sanitizing her bottle. I simply loved it!

I have 9 month old twins and without the drink deputy, I would not be able to walk very far without picking up a bottle. Now, when they "toss" the bottles, they don't fall on the ground and I don't have to look for them. It attaches to almost anything and works on sippy cups as well as different sized bottles.

You won't be sorry that you did. The Drink Deputy doesn't fit all of our sippy cups either; I just make sure to grab a cup that fits before I head out with my stroller. Sadly, the DD doesn't work with the Snack Trap. It will hold the ST, but the petal lid pops off and you end up with Cheerios everywhere. The DD does keep a sippy cup where it belongs! I'm the only one of my Stroller Strides moms that doesn't have to stop to pick up cups thrown overboard. I also use the DD to attach cups to high chairs at restaurants, keeping them off the icky floor. I wish I had ordered two in the first place!

I've lost so many cups and bottles while around town because my kids will just drop them when they are finished and I may not notice it. At $3.50/ cup it adds up. I bought 2 for my then 2yo and hooked one onto his carseat so that I have it with my other strollers when we are out using my lighter strollers. I love now that I've added another baby I can use both for both boys. Really a must for any mom on the go!

Doesn't Fit

The Drink Deputy is a good idea, but... it doesn't fit our sippy cups! We use the regular, run of the mill, Gerber sippy cups. They have handles connected to the bottom that go up. The Drink Deputy has to stretch big time to make it over just the cup, handles not included. I have wrestled it on and off three times before it hit the shelf. There was so much pulling that the stitching on the Drink Deputy is coming apart. I estimate another three uses before it completely falls apart and becomes useless. I think some string or yarn would do the same job of the Drink Deputy, and a better job too.

This is the smartest invention ever! I purchased 4 of them, gave one away but I won't part with the other 3, one on the stroller, one on the highchair and one in my diaper bag for restaurants etc. Takes away so much stress!

This is a must have for all parents! The drink deputy stops your sippy cups and bottles from hitting the ground and attaches to any kind of stroller or high chair! Perfect for home, restaurants, and in the stroller. This makes a wonderful and inexpensive baby shower gift! I love our drink deputy and plan to buy a few to have on hand as gifts for friends.

Can't live without it.

We originally purchased the drink deputy for use with our Kelty Pathfinder carrier, and soon found out that I can't live without this. It was great for the carrier, because our daughter couldn't throw the cup out, or drop it. I had visions of hiking in the mountains & having to pick up her sippy cup everytime she dropped it, or even worse, having it go off the edge of the mountain & dealing with an unhappy baby for the remainder of the trip. The Drink Deputy really was the answer to this problem. We now also use it for her stroller. I can take walks & I don't have to keep stopping to pick up her cup. I had been trying to tie all sorts of things around her cup & attach them to the stroller before we had this. We now have twin boys and I will be purchasing more drink deputies for them as well. It really is a necessity for every mom & child.
