JJ Cole Bundle Me Infant

I live in so. cal so the coldest it gets in the day is in the 50's...perfect to keep my son bundled up without a sweater. So easy, just pop him in his stroller! I only use it in his pliko, it looks so warm and cuddly and when you get inside just zipper it off- so simple.. Perfect for outside malls on chilly days :)

JJcole bundle me is NOT certified and doesn't meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 213. It does't have any FMVSS 213 certification by department of transportation. This bundle could be considered a safety risk when added to an infant seat. Example http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/childsafety/notices/Dser/d200401/menu.htm FMVSS 213 test is performed to test the safety of car seats. If item pass the test it MUST affix the national safety mark/certification on the product issued by department of transportation. JJcole bundle me is NOT certified

Thank you for your review. JJ Cole DOES test their products to meet FMVSS 213 standards. Their website indicates the following:

Tests performed on infant car seats with the Bundle Me® installed found that the car seats complied with the Restraint System Integrity and Occupant Excursion portions of the FMVSS 213 requirements.

However, it is true that this product has not been tested with every car seat on the market, therefore possibly posing a safety risk when used with the harness threaded through the back of any of their Bundle Me® inserts. The risk here is the use of this product when the harness is threaded through the back part of the insert may create extra slack in the harness - as pointed out in the link you provided. We will be adding copy to our site to address this as follows:

If this product is used with an infant or toddler car seat, it is recommended that the back part not be used but instead unzip the back from the front muff and just use the muff to cover the child in the car seat so that the safety of the 5-point harness is not compromised. This product is perfectly fine to use with strollers.

We love it. Couldn't do without it in the mountains in the winter.

I live in MN, and it really does get cold here! The bundle me kept my daughter very warm. I did not use additional blankets as she seemed to overheat when I did. We would unzip and take off the cover for long road trips so she wouldn't overheat or just zip it down so her feet were still covered. At first I tried using blankets to keep my daughter warm, but they kept blowing off. I was just walking from truck to store etc, I was tired of that real fast. I hesitated to get one because I was told you should not have anything between baby and the car seat, well I didn't Velcro the area around the straps and I could move the straps freely, we have a Graco car seat. My friend got a bundle me for her baby shower and after seeing it I had to have one. It is so soft. There is a normal fleece on the outside and a super soft and fuzzy fleece inside. There are slits in the back to put the straps through, I had no trouble with the straps not being able to move freely, and a zipper along the sides. You can unzip just one side if you would like, worked nice to vent or just to adjust socks, whatever. The cover has served us with so many more uses then it was meant to. We have used it as a mat at grandmas on her floor, as a blanket, sun visor you name it. It is just a different shaped blanket some days. My baby is no longer in a carrier but we are still using it in her stroller, sometimes just the bottom, softer, and sometimes the top too. I have seen toddlers using a baby bundle me as a lap blanket rather than have it come all the way up their chest.

I bought this for use with my Snugride infant car seat and I truly can say it is the one item that I really got my money's worth. It was so nice not to have to put layers upon layers on my daughter to keep her warm. Great item!!! This is my go to baby shower gift for babies born in the colder months!

This item is great but, sorry, it doesn't fit Britax infant car seats. I got this item as a gift and can not return it. The only way to use it is to "remodel" it first.

I was sold on the idea of the Bundle Me, but in practicality, it does not fit well in my Britax Companion car seat, and my baby hates it. The Bundle Me crumples up at the base of the seat under baby's bottom. It makes the car seat straps fit more tightly (even after generous adjustment). It doesn't work well with the side-impact head protector pads.
