Our Review of the Mountain Buggy Swift stroller

On sale for $299.99! Regularly priced at $499.99. Save $200 (40%)

The Mountain Buggy Swift Stroller features a slight, sturdy frame and swiveling front wheel that lets you navigate the city streets or suburban store aisles with ease. The Swift combines the easy handling of a Mountain Buggy Urban Single Stroller with the light, slim build of the Mountain Buggy Breeze Stroller. What you save in size by driving the Swift, you won't compromise in Mountain Buggy comfort or versatility.

Standout Features:

  • Steer the Swift with one finger
  • A narrow frame and small, 10" wheels mean compact folding and easy maneuvering in tight spaces
  • Full recline for newborns and naps
  • Two sunhood pockets and a large underseat basket provide room for all of your gear
  • An adjustable handle makes for comfortable strolling

Benefits for You: The Mountain Buggy Swift Stroller easily navigates the hustle and bustle of city transportation, crowded cafes, and small boutiques thanks to a streamlined frame. And the Swift folds to a compact package, perfect for those with minimal cargo space in their vehicle's trunk. Remove the wheels with the quick-release mechanism for a super compact fold. Use the Travel Bag (sold separately) to protect your investment when on the go. The Swift's underseat basket and two Velcro sunhood pockets hold all your odds and ends.

Push the Mountain Buggy Swift Stroller with little effort, even when all you can spare is a finger. The 10" air-filled tires and front swivel wheel handle everyday twists, turns, and bumps. The lightweight frame folds in two easy steps and collapses flat for compact storage. The easy care fabric repels water and stands up to whatever life (and baby) brings. An adjustable handle makes for easy pushing when mom and dad are different heights.

Benefits for Baby: The flat recline accommodates infants and post-lunch nappers alike. The sunshade protects baby's delicate skin and eyes on bright days. Guard baby from wind, rain, sun, and flying insects by adding the Mountain Buggy Swift Storm Cover and Sun Cover. For your child's safety, Mountain Buggy follows global safety standards for an extra secure ride. Features include:

  • Locks that meet European safety standards
  • A 2-step fold that prevents the stroller from unexpectedly folding
  • A 5-point harness that adjusts small enough for a newborn

Bottom Line: The Mountain Buggy Swift combines the style and easy handling of the Mountain Buggy Urban Stroller with a much slimmer profile. If you enjoy more off-road activities, the Mountain Buggy Urban Single Stroller features 12" air-filled tires for greater stability on uneven terrain. The Urban Single also comes standard with a cupholder.

Mountain buggy swift

Great lightweight pram, easy to manouvre strong reliable. The problems I had... sun cover not big enough to block out sun, needed additional sun cover. The fabric bunches at the head, which means you need to buy the buggy liner with the flaps. My son is one, and his head is almost touching the back when in a layback position, the straps are also really tight on him, and I can't loosen them any further.

after 5 children and numerous strollers that included two bugaboos over the past 13 years, we find the new swift to be far superior. The folding mechanism is excellent: you need two hands to fold but one to unfold. One can push it with one finger. It goes smoothly over stairs, uneven terrain etc. Its compactness makes it easy to maneuver in and out of the house while not compromising on advantages of regular size strollers. It is also very pretty! I had a hard time deciding between the swift and the city classic jogger stroller and am sooo happy I ordered this one (for the same price!). The one advantage the jogger has is its canopy; the swift does not keep the sun out of child's face. And by the way, my four year old fits in the swift too! I am sure it is going to become the next stroller hit- and for good reason too!

The specs don't seem that different from the MB Urban, but the Swift is definitely narrower, lighter, and less bulky. I love how it handles around tight corners compared with the Bugaboo Frog, and it is extremely well made. The basket is a good size and easy to access. I wish the canopy were larger (like the Baby Jogger City Mini), and the accessories are pricey. My only real complaint is the canopy function. Since you have to tighten and loosen two straps to adjust the seat back, the fabric bunches around the baby's head unless you fold it back before raising the seat back up. Not a huge deal, but definitely something to think about. This stroller can be used from newborn to toddler, since the seat can be laid flat and is roomy enough for larger children.
