Our Review of the Quinny Zapp 4 stroller

Light, nimble, and stylish, the Quinny Zapp 4 has one of the smallest folded dimensions of any model in its class. Team the tiny fold of the Zapp with its out-of-this-world appearance, easy to manage swivel wheel configuration, and light ergonomic frame, and the result is one of the most exciting and eye-catching strollers available.

Standout Features:

  • Folds down to 12" H x 27" L
  • Weighs just 13 lbs
  • Front wheel swivels 360 degrees for full maneuverability
  • Includes car seat adapter for the Maxi Cosi Mico Infant Car Seat
  • Comes complete with sun canopy, rain shield, and travel bag

Benefits for You: Get all the comfortable pushing and easy maneuverability of a full size stroller in a lightweight stroller with a super compact fold. The Zapp 4 from Quinny adapts to the different heights of mom and dad with an ergonomic, adjustable handle. The Zapp 4 corners easily thanks to the 360 degree front swivel wheel. Lock the wheels forward for added control and engage the parking brake with your foot for safe stopping.

Use the roomy underseat basket to store any shopping or gear. In an improvement over the original Quinny Zapp, the Zapp 4 allows the underseat storage basket to remain attached when used with the Maxi Cosi Mico Infant Car Seat. The Zapp's fabric is durable and stain resistant for easy care.

Benefits for Baby: Kids up to 50 lbs sit comfortably in the hammock of the Zapp 4. The 5-point harness adds safety. While the seat does not recline, most users report that children ride without complaint. Add the Maxi Cosi Mico Infant Car Seat to accommodate infants.

Compatibility: The Quinny Zapp 4 is compatible with the Maxi Cosi Mico Infant Car Seat.

Bottom Line: If the stroller you're searching for is light, quick, stylish, and folds up into a tiny package, the Quinny Zapp is for you. Like the Micralite Fastfold FTS -- another 13 lbs European stroller with an extremely small fold -- the Quinny Zapp could be thought of as a souped-up umbrella stroller.

Both the Zapp and the Micralite have fabric seats. The Micralite has a slight seat recline, while the Zapp has none at all. The lack of a seat recline is the Zapp's only notable limitation.

We love it!

After buying a BOB Revolution, which we absolutely love, we needed a light weight stroller to bring everywhere, as the BOB is way too bulky for the day to day chores. Compared to the BOB, the Quinny is with no doubt flimsy, but you can fold it easily, and bring it with you everywhere, from the daily walk to the city park, to grocery shopping. It rolls very nice, considering the small diameter of the wheels, fits in any trunk, and I do love the egg like design! I think for the mom and dad that want a very comfortable and light stroller, the Quinny is a very good choice.

LOVE IT!

I absolutely love this stroller. Perhaps one of our favorite baby purchases. It is so easy, light-weight and comfortable. We had the Maxi-Cosi infant seat that latched right in to make it an infant carrier while our daughter was young and now she sits in the big girl seat. We get compliments everywhere we go and I will never purchase another stroller unless I burn holes through the wheels in this one!

Zapp is a great light weight buggy

Reviewer: Anonymous , swansea, uk Date: January 02, 2009
This is a really good light weight buggy. It is particularly easy to manouever around (I can spin it 360 degrees in my hallway for example) and to get around the shops - fits through small spaces, you can get out of peoples way etc . Very lightweight - I have carried toddler in the buggy up and down stairs on my own it is that lightweight and compact. Folds really small and can fit easily in probably any boot. Hard wearing - have used it for two children. You can buy adaptors to use with maxi cosi car seat which means young baby can be facing you in their car seat. Hard wearing and durable. My toddler still fits in it for short periods at 2.5 years old (wearing 3 - 4 year old clothes). People often comment how fantastic, compact and stylish it looks. You can buy new covers for it if you want a change. There are some bad points however - it does not recline so difficult for them to sleep comfortably in it. It is also very light and easy to tip over if you hang anything on the back (warning on it not to do this). It also has no storage but you can buy special bags on ebay for this which work out really well for small items.

LIFE MADE EASY

I use the Quinny Zapp with my Maxi-Cosi infant car seat. The Zapp stroller is a smooth ride for my infant, while being impeccably stylish at the same time. Its easy to transport and even easier to set up with the car seat. The car seat just pops right in! I have really enjoyed the convience of this stroller. The only complaint that I have is that the underneath cargo basket has to be removed when in use with the infant car seat, so there isn't anywhere to put things if needs be. But overall I have really enjoyed this stroller!

strollin for the modern mommy

Not only does the Quinny Zapp look really awesome, sleek, modern, and innovative, it handles with precision and ease. I couldn't be happier with it. It is easy to put up and down. It is compact and fits in my trunk with tons of space to spare. I fully recommend this product to the modern mom on the go who wants to look chic while she carries shopping bags and wields her toddler to and fro.

When vanity is a family value

Zapp is a very nice piece of engineering and has a pleasing aesthetic look. It is elegant. Materials used are top notch as well. My only concerns were a weak plastic zipper that is being used for attaching the seat to the frame and the lack of the reclining function. If you buy this, you must know that you are buying it primarily for the looks. This is your "Sunday Afternoon Starbucks" stroller.

Great Travel Stroller

5
Reviewer: Debra , London UK Date: August 20, 2007
I love this little stroller. I use it to travel with and for quick little outings. It folds up so small that it can fit in the overhead of most flights which is great not having to gate check. I also use it on quick little errands - but not for long walks. There is no storage basket - but there are some people on Ebay that have created some that work. But the major plus with this is it folds up so compact and is so light. My son was out of the infant car seat when I got this - but the maxi-cosi one snaps in so easy with this one - which is also a big plus. I recommend it to all my friends as an additional stroller to the big jogging/everyday stroller that would be needed for longer walks and shopping!

I love it but is not the perfect stroller!!!

Reviewer: susan green , chicago, IL Date: August 18, 2007
I bought the stroller for my 6 month old baby, the zapp has a unique look and every mom will look at it while you go on a walk with your baby. On the other hand you cant fold it with one hand, for moms that travel alone with their babies, make sure that someone will help you fold it. My baby looks happy and comfortable when we go for walks, but when he wants to fall asleep he doesn't seem happy cause it wont recline. I also think the basket it has is not big or comfortable enough and it doesn't come with a tray. I would recommend this stroller only for people that will use it for just short walks not for a long shopping day.

I love my Quinny Zapp. This stroller turns like a dream, pushes fantastic and looks great. My only complaint i that it takes two hands to fold. Once it is folded, it is very small. We also have a Volo, a Peg Perego and a Birtini. This is our favorite stroller to go out and about in. I was stopped once by a young man who said ~ I want that stroller....and I don't even have kids!
