BOB Ironman

Overall a great stroller. Great fit for tall people. Great for running and rides nicely. Easy to fold up and transport in car. One negative, is that it is not easy to move around bends. I take a stroller class with lots of quick turns and find it is easier going with my regular stroller. Works great on and off road.

The only thing that prevents the 5 Star rating is the lack of lock to hold the stroller folded. The leash can be used to do this but no very easily

great choice

Although we aren't running as much as we had imagined we would with our 6 month old... we do love our jogger. we chose it because it seemed the best suited for real running, and it is. it takes some getting used to, in regards to taking turns, but it ultimately feels very safe on an actual run. also, easy for long walks, and shopping (with a nice size basket underneath.) especially like the canope. one thing I wish for, is more of a padded buckle system. we like the harness, but a friend of mine has the dreamer, and the harness seems more substantial... although the dreamer does not seem as great in regards to the shocks & stroller itself for running. if you want the best for RUNNING, go for it... it you want a good overall jogger, you may choose one with wheels that pivot, etc.

We love this stroller! It's extremely easy to fold up, great shocks and the ride is very smooth. It's easy to manuever and my son loves to ride in it. We've used it on a paved bike canal,as well as carriage trails. We've never been disappointed.

A lot of positives, but hard if you're short

There is a lot to love about the Bob Ironman jogging stroller. It is easy to move around, has a comfortable reclining seat and I love the fact that you can buy an attachment to put your infant seat on it--makes it still possible to run once the little ones get head stability. In addition, the sunshade is great protection. It folds fairly small for a jogging stroller (we keep it in the garage and it does not take up too much space). It also has excellent storage.

While there is a lot to like about the stroller there are some drawbacks. I 5'2" and the handle it too high for me. It would be great if there were an adjustment for heights. In addition, the stroller sometimes pulls to one side. You can calibrate it, but there always seems to be a slight pull. I think this is normal for strollers of this size, but if there was a way to keep the fix permenant, I would overlook the handle and give the stroller 5 stars.

Note: This is not a great stroller for cruising around the city as the front wheel is stablized. It is great for running paths and tracks as well as long street stretches (don't get me wrong though--if you want to get a coffee after your run, the stroller is fine. I just would not make it my every day mode of transportation).

good overall, some weak spots

This is a smart, solidly built, rugged stroller. We live in Jerusalem with lots of broken streets, and BOB handles them easily. Folding and opening is easy, but it would be nice if it snapped closed securely (you have to use a strp (supplied). Smooth ride. In retrospect, we would have bought the one with the swivel wheel, but this one navigates fine. The adapter for the infant seat came with confusing instructions and is less secure than we would have liked. Getting it into the trunk could be easier - we need to remove the wheels each time for it to fit our Civic. It's not hard, but is a bit of a pain each time.

bob stroller fixed front wheel

Reviewer: Anonymous , SFO, CA Date: June 25, 2006
I wouldnt buy another jogging stroller with a fixed front wheel. The new revolution stroller is a much smarter purchase as the front wheel can either be fixed (for running) or swivel if you just want to take a walk and take advantage of the great shade cover. Definitely worth the $70 extra to buy the revolution model with the possibility of moving the front wheel to fixed or swivel setting.
