Reviews for BOB Ironman stroller
Excellent Jogger - you must have this one!

I bought this jogger based on the reviews I read and have been so happy with it! I've used it for 7 months now. I took my baby girl on her first walk when she was just 2 days old! That is one great thing about this jogger - you can buy an attachment - its an add on for the car seat. Otherwise you can't use the jogger until your baby is 5 or 6 months old. If you are like me and need to exercise to loose a lot of weight, you'll want to start walking right away! We walk/run everyday and I'm thinner now than before I was prego! I've lost almost 100 lbs! My baby loves it and usually sleeps for about 30-45 minutes when we are out for 60-75 minutes. The other great thing is the big sun shield. It comes down much farther than most strollers. A lot of people are concerned about turning corners with the front wheel fixed. I've read you don't want it to pivot when you are running because it will be too squirrely. And that makes sense. It isn't super easy to turn a corner, but it isn't hard either. I just wouldn't plan on constantly making right angle turns all the time and you'll be fine. We use this stroller everyday, sometimes twice a day if we walk to the neighborhood swimming pool. I just throw the towel and everything underneath in the basket. I also bought the add on cup holder thing. It holds 2 waterbottles and has a compartment for keys, cell phone, etc. I highly recommend this stroller. Definitely worth the money. We love it! Excellent investment! Oh, and I get compliments all the time too on how cool it looks! The yellow is great so cars can see you and men can use it too.

Top marks for BOB

Before purchasing the BOB Ironman we did a bit of research and looked at a couple of other brands. In the end we selected the BOB Ironman based on the overall reviews. After using it for 4 months, we can truly say that it is a great product. It is pretty robust, well designed and provides a smooth ride for the child. We haven't had any problems so far and can not recommend it enough. (Depending on where you live, you do want to consider some of the accessories such as the rain cover and water bottle holder)

Great Stroller

I absolutely love the stroller. We bought it because it was the only stroller that had a car seat attachment. It was great to be able to use the stroller as soon as we brought my daughter home from the hospital. Some other great characteristics....it's has a perfect size handle bar for both my 6'3" husband and for my 5'8" frame. The bright yellow color is also a plus when walking at dusk. It's easy for cars to see. The only reason why I didn't give the stroller 5 stars was the locked front wheel makes it hard to manover when making turns. I would love to see the BOB made with an optional locking front wheel for running and a swivel wheel for walking. Other than that I absolutely LOVE the stroller.

Great light weight stroller. I love the large canapy. It rides smoothly. I have been running with this stroller uphills and downhills since my little girl was 4 months old. She loves it. She even falls asleep in it. The handle bars are not adjustable but works great for both my husband and I. He is 6 foot and I am 5.2. I like the bright yellow color for safety reason. Overall, it's a great investmant.

Better than the rest

The BOB
is one of 3 strollers we have purchased and we have found this to be the absolute best for jogging, running, walking on pavement, trails and even grass. Easy to push one handed and is a breeze compared to other strollers. My only wish is that it would be more compact to take on vacations. Also, although it is very adjustable I would use caution on using it on a smaller child. Our daughter is 23lbs and has everything cinched up to almost the max. The plus is that we are going to be able to use this for years as it will hold quite big children. I also highly recommend getting the cup holder
. It holds a ton of gear. (Drinks, Keys, food, cell phone, hat etc.) The whole thing stroller and accessories are worth the money.

Like the stroller, not crazy about the seat

I run 3 to 5 days a week so this stroller gets a pretty good amount of use. It has been very durable. Rolls great, very portable, and relativly easy to adjust the tracking. My one complaint is with the seat. There is a black fabric strap where the child's legs hang over. It is very uncomfortable as the child becomes heavier the strap seems to cut into the back of the child's legs. I made a seat cusion to compensate for this. The down side is now he sits up higher and soon the straps will be to low.
We decided to purchase several of the accessories. I feel they are rediculously expensive but for us they have been well worth it. I have the plastic rain cover
. This enabled us to run throughout the winter. I would wrap up my son to keep him warm and the rain cover would prevent the wind from making him cold. The cup holder
is also fantastic especially for holing water bottles on long runs. Overall I like this stroller but I would honestly shop around and see if another stroller has a better seat design. Because I run so often, I did quite a bit of research and looked at several products before I bought this product. Unfortunatly I did not see the problem with the seat until after having it for a year.

BOB Ironman - Excellent

We're very pleased with our stroller. It is very light, easy to fold and pleasant to run with. I'm well over 6' tall and my wife is 5'3" - it is comfortable for either of us to use. Our toddler also relaxes comfortably in it, which is probably most important. However, we don't multitask with it -- it is only used for running and is perfect for that. (Maclaren Quest Mod for everything else)

absolutely no complaints

Loved this stroller from the moment I took it out of the box. Ok - actually the first time I took it out it pulled to the right. I read a lot of reviews saying the same thing, but my husband is a mountain bike junkie and re-assembled the front wheel and the pull to the right instantly disappeared. If anyone out there has this and is annoyed with a pull to one side, my advice is to take it to a local bike shop! It operates so much like a bike they will make it right! I jog the heck out of this thing 5-6 days a week 5 miles a day. My son loves it. I had to purchase a pad for the inside so it would be a little more comfy, but that's no fault of the manufacturer. It's easier to have that kind of thing separate for washing anyway. It makes some squeaks but I'm guessing I just need to do some maintenance on the shocks. The only reason I took off one star is that my son seems to be crunched over in the seat and it is really impossible for me to sit him in it so that he looks 100% comfortable. Don't get me wrong he doesn't complain and he loves to go for jogs, but he seems a little curled in the back area. I've tried putting him in a million different ways and by the end of the jog he is still kind of like a mini hunchback. Makes me feel bad is the only real problem with it! Also love the drink and pocket add-on for emergency binkis or socks etc. Really having fun with this. Wish more manufacturers made YELLOW strollers. I feel much safer jogging in this color stroller. If I wear a jogging vest, why wouldn't I want to give my son the same kind of thing in stroller form! Bravo BOB!

Great Great Great (but get the sunshade)

This is our first child and first jogging stroller. I researched like crazy and it became clear that the BOBb Ironman was the one to get for serious runners and people who care about quality and performance. It is a super smooth ride and it glides so easily down the road it almost pulls itself. We have a Peg Perego umberella stroller
that we use for shopping and outings because the Bob's front wheel doesn't swivel and it's too bulky to take in small stores. Some other strollers claim to be the best of both worlds but I've noticed that they are too bulky to be as good as an umbrella stroller and not sturdy and smooth enough to be a great jogger. It's better to get two unless you don't actually JOG that much. For walking you might go with the BOB Sport Utility. The only complaint I have is that the BOB Ironman's canopy does not shield from the sun very well. You should purchase the sunshade and the rainshade
was also great for winter walks and runs. Enjoy!!!
