Initial Quality

First impression review: Out of the box the first thing we noticed is the rough feel to the fabrics used. Durable sure, comfortable doubtful? We went for the first walk and realized that suspension is more for looks. Lots of bumpy walks and roads in our area and our 6 month old was jostled easily. The biggest negative aspect was that the harness lacks ANY padding. 1" thick webbing can be rough on a young child. We immediately purchased third party pads and head support. Brake not smooth acting..will need to oil the cable. Also had to play with the front wheel alignment. Will Follow up in a few months.

This stroller was great for about 6 months, which was when it started to run crooked. We've tried everything to adjust it, including having it checked out at a bike shop, but nothing makes a difference. I don't recommend it for runners.

Comments from The Staff:

Thank you for posting your comments. Here is what the manufacturer had to say about your concerns "Usually if this happens it is because the front wheel needs to be loosened and adjusted in the opposite direction than it is veering. This is noted on page 3 of the instructions. Also, if the air pressure is not correct in the tires, this may also make it pull to one side or the other." Your stroller may still be under warranty. Don't get this if you have stairs

Reviewer: Cindy J , Brooklyn, NY Date: May 31, 2008
If you live in a place where you will need to carry this up stairs, don't waste your money. It's heavy, awkward and has no carry handle. If you are space constrained, again, do not waste your money. This will not store sitting upright, it has to lay on its side. The material is rough and cheap looking. Mine came with a warped front wheel that drifts to the left and gave me a back ache trying to keep it in line. I do not recommend this for anyone who lives in a metropolitan area or especially an apartment or condo. My only positive comment is that it will ride over sand rather easily in case you want to jog on a beach. Getting it to a beach will more than likely be a hassle, though.

Comments from The Staff:

For the low price point of this stroller, InSTEP has provided a well-performing and durable jogging stroller. Most 16", fixed wheel jogging strollers are built to handle the rough and tumble of a daily run, and so tend toward the heavier and more rugged side. If you prefer lightweight and easy storage over a high-performance 16" fixed wheel jogger, consider either the Bumbleride Indie 12" or the BOB Revolution 12"AW, both of which feature light weights (and a higher price-point, of course). With a smaller wheel size, you sacrifice the high-speed capabilities of a 16" fixed-wheel, but you trim weight off the stroller.
