Great Buy!

5
Reviewer: Erik , Westmont, NJ Date: July 30, 2008
I bought the Baby Jogger Q Series stroller about 3 months ago and I have really enjoyed it. It was easy to put together and performs really well. I am able to run 7:30 mile pace with my son enjoying ride with no problems. My only problem is with the sun visor, i wish it folded down a little more when we are running into the sun, but other than that its great.

Comments from The Staff:

Thanks for your comments. I do agree that sometimes the two panel canopy might not be enough sun coverage. For extra coverage at a very reasonable price, try the Kiddopotamus Ray Shade.

Good value

4
Reviewer: Carolyn , NW PA Date: June 24, 2008
Stroller works exactly as I had hoped it would. Pros: Easy to assemble, easy to use, lightweight, folds simply, fits (w/o car seat adapter) in the trunk of my Honda Civic, with front wheel attached. Good value for the price paid. Storage is more than enough, but I'm a light packer. Appears that it will fit my daughter for quite a while yet (8 months now). Brakes work fine, canopy is small but sufficient, stroller dries quickly when accidentally left out in rain. Cons: Recline is less than desired and less than other, newer (and more expensive) strollers. Harness fit is terrible and doesn't fit a small child. Lower harness anchor is attached strangely and slides around during use, allowing child to slump down if they are slim. Am forced to use car-seat adapter even though my daughter can sit ably by herself. Would have given 5 stars if not for the harness issue. Note that most stroller storage is lost with use of adapter. Overall, I recommend this stroller. It's a good entry-level choice for a running new mom (or dad) who just wants to get out of the house with a quality piece of equipment.

great jogging stroller

5
Reviewer: S.K , Denver, CO Date: May 29, 2008
I am a moderate jogger and absolutely love this stroller. I bought it when my daughter was a newborn and it still works great with her as a toddler. It has great storage in multiple places. It rides extremely smooth and is a breeze to push, walking and jogging. It is easy to collapse and get in and out of the car. The construction is amazing, I haven't given it any maitenance in the 2 years I've had it and it is in perfect shape. I've never even had to fill the tires and I use this stroller all the time. This is one of the best investments I've made! My only downfall to the stroller is the short sun shade, so I sometimes have to drape a small blanket over the top to create more shade.

Comments from The Staff:

Try the Kiddopotamus Ray Shade for extra canopy coverage. It's an inexpensive way to create more sun coverage for your little one. Thanks for your feeback.

Needs better sun canopy

3
Reviewer: Anonymous , Champaign, IL Date: April 17, 2008
The jogger rolls nicely and is very easy to fold. The sun canopy provides woefully insufficient coverage, however. Rigging up various accessories to provide sun coverage has been only minimally effective and causes a lot of drag, especially on windy days.

great running stroller

4
Reviewer: Anonymous , Lakeland, FL. Date: December 26, 2007
We got this stroller prior to Christmas and my wife started running with it immediately. She would run 6+ miles and the baby would fall asleep during the run as the stoller is so smooth. The sunshade does not come down quite as far as a conventional stroller, but this is not for casual use, it is purpose built and does a wonderful job.

Great Second Stroller

4
Reviewer: Dirt Dawg , Royal Oak, MI Date: November 15, 2007
We bought this jogger to be used as a second jogger when my wife and I both run/race with our 3 1/2 yr old and 9 month old. Primarily, I use it with the 9 month old and our other jogger is a Baby Jogger Performance with 20 inch wheels. The Q series excels at being able to just fold and go, but lacks the adjustable shade and shock absorption of the performance series. It is a little narrower, but does have a great locking brakes. Knowing this going in, I find it to be a great second stroller for a running family that is unsure of whether to buy another single or double or for someone that wants to step up from the department store "running" stroller looking to go a little faster on those family walks.

Disappointed

2
Reviewer: Anonymous , Forsyth, MO Date: October 15, 2007
I shopped and shopped for joggers online before finally purchasing this one. I have to say I am disappointed with the Q Series. My major complaints with the jogger is that the seat does not recline enough for my little guy to be comfortable. Also, the handle bars are the perfect height for me but they are too short for my husband. An adjustable handle would be nice. The sun shade is a joke. It does a great job keeping the sun out as long as the sun is directly overhead or behind you. Unfortunately this is not always the case. I wish that I would have purchased a different stroller. I have to say that one positive thing about the stroller is that is rides very smoothly.

Comments from the Staff

We're sorry you weren't happy with your Q Series stroller. In repsonse to your issues: For your child's safety, few running strollers have a full recline for infants but you can use you Baby Jogger adaptor for infant car seats. Also, these jogging strollers don't offer adjustable height handlebars because you have to "wheelie" to turn a fixed wheel stroller and adjustable handlebars can come loose under that kind of pressure. The adjustable handle height feature is usually only available with all-terrain and walking strollers. Also, the Q Series is an older model in the Baby Jogger family, and newer strollers like the City Series and updated Baby Jogger Performance 20" have a much bigger sun canopy than the Q Series - as well as a number of other improvements over older Baby Jogger strollers.

Very Pleased

Reviewer: Willie , Orlando, Fl. Date: September 29, 2007
I purchased this stroller for my wife who is not an advid jogger but is trying to stay in shape for our renewal of vows. She absolutely loves it she does jog, more like a very fast walk (she jokes herself) and our daughter is very comfortable. Storage space is adequate. Quality is excellent. Easy fold and open. Rides smoothly on rough terrain and pavement, the baby falls asleep and is not waken up even if my wife goes over rough spots. Handle bar is comfortable and easy to control, it comes with a strap for your wrist to keep the kids from rolling away from you. We can go on and on. Our only complaint is coverage from the sun it is not sufficient but we are going to purchase one of those clip on umbrellas and hope that will help. Don't worry about putting it together you'll do fine, very simple. You will not regret purchasing it, it is a great product, and the price even better. Take Care and God Bless! Stay Safe!

Hooray for the Baby Jogger Q

5
Reviewer: John Berggren , Baltimore, MD Date: August 28, 2007
Having no previous experience with jogging strollers, the Baby Jogger Q has been a wonderful purchase. Easy to assemble, lightweight, front and rear brakes are great, folding mechanism for storage is exceptional. I had initial concerns about a fixed front wheel, but have found this stroller to be *very* easy turn. Only sharp turns require me to "pop a wheelie", gradual turns need only slight pressure on one side of the handlebars. I've been pleasantly surprised with how easy the stroller is to push during a run. It rolls smoothly over bumpy city sidewalks. My little passenger approves of it, as well.

Q Series 16

5
Reviewer: Anonymous , New York, NY Date: August 22, 2007
What a Joy!!!! I am a dad and I also use the Bugaboo and a small MacLaren for travel trips with my daughter. The "Q" has replaced the Bugaboo. It's sturdy, lightweight, easier to transport and more comfortable for my daughter. I spend time in Central Park as well as the suburbs and it functions remarkable in both places. Caution: Not for use going in and out of stores. I would definitely buy the item again.

Happy Jogger

5
Reviewer: Charlice , Gainesville, FL Date: August 13, 2007
This is the first jogging stroller I ever used, so I don't have anything to compare it to. However, I'm very satisfied with it. I'm able to keep a pretty swift pace. The jogger is light enough that I'm comfortable running on hilly terrain. Turning it is not as much of a nuisance as I thought it would be with the fixed wheel, and I can turn it without stopping on gentle curves. My 9-month old is comfortable in it and usually falls asleep during our run. The window at the top allows him to look up at me. I also like the fact that there are lots of places to put stuff if I need to.

use it almost as much as my breastfeeding pillow!

Reviewer: Anonymous , Santa Cruz, CA Date: July 13, 2007
I love this stroller! it was a bit on the pricey side for us as we are not the type with the incomes to buy a stroller in this price range, but it is worth every penny... we received $ from coworkers so it made buying it more reasonable. i use the stroller everyday to walk/jog the dog and get the baby out. my son had his first ride in the stroller at 6 weeks and we plan to use it in the years to come. my favorite feature is that it collapses so easily, and it is small enought to fit in the trunk of my honda as we do not own a suv as most parents these days do!

Very pleased!

Reviewer: Elizabeth , Jacksonville, FL Date: May 25, 2007
I received this stroller two days ago via FedEx. The assembly instructions are not so great, so I called Baby Jogger and quickly got to speak to a live person. She talked me through the front wheel assembly, and I quickly discovered there was a braking issue. She offered to send me a new stroller or, if I chose, I could take the stroller to my local bike shop to have them adjust the brakes, and Baby Jogger would reimburse me. What great customer service! I wish I could have had the same experience with other $200+ products I've purchased. Well, I'm happy to say that the bike shop was able to fix the brake in no time (no charge--it took 2 minutes). Once that was fixed, I started using it, and it's great! I LOVE this stroller. It's easy to push, has a smooth ride, and my toddler loves riding in it. I do have to agree with other reviewers that the canopy could come down more, but aside from that, I am very pleased. I would definitely recommend this stroller because I know the company is great to deal with, and the product is fabulous. A great buy.

Excellent Stroller

Reviewer: Anonymous , Great Falls, VA Date: May 14, 2007
In preparation for the warmer weather ahead, I recently purchased a Q-series jogging stroller. There is a dirt path through the woods in my neighborhood and my son is able to sleep in the stroller on my runs. The ride is so smooth he doesn't even wake up!

Pretty good jogging stroller

4
Reviewer: Stacie , Des Moines, IA Date: March 05, 2007
I ordered this stroller a few months ago (when my son was 9 mos) after having tried, unsucessfully, a different brand (Dreamer Design Lite). The Baby Jogger Q series is a pretty good jogging stroller. When it arrived the frame was bent (it wasn't tracking straight) but the manufacturer exchanged it at no cost to me. The second stroller (one we currently have) had no problems and was fairly easy to assemble. The only complaint I have (reason for 4 stars and not 5) is that the canopy doesn't come down far enough to adequately shade my son's face. Even the little extra flap that comes down doesn't really do much. It would be a better stroller if the canopy were longer. I liked the canopy of the Dreamer Design but didn't like the harness of that stroller (it was impossible to secure my average-size son). The Baby Jogger Q series is a really good stroller at this price. It is very sturdy and easy to push. The harness is easy to use and adjust for a growing child. We really enjoy taking walks and jogs with this stroller. Even walking the dog and pushing the stroller is no problem with this stroller.

The customer service folks at joggingstroller.com were exceedingly helpful as I deliberated about my stoller decision for a long time.

I think the Baby Jogger will serve me and my son well. I'm looking forward to putting on some miles with it once the snow melts this spring!

Baby Jogger Q

4
Reviewer: Mikki , Endwell, NY Date: March 03, 2007
I have been very pleased with my jogger. I bought it about 9 mos. ago to use for both jogging and walking. My daughter loves riding in it because the ride is so smooth. It takes a little getting used to the fixed front wheel, and the storage basket could be bigger, but it's lightweight and definitely easy to fold down. It easily fits into the trunk of my car. I can't wait for the weather to warm up here so we can use it outside again! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great multipurpose stroller.

Baby Jogger Q, 16

3
Reviewer: Anonymous , Dulles, VA Date: March 02, 2007
I bougt this stroller to replace my old baby jogger original (which had smaller wheels and did not fold easily). The quick fold feature is great, it allows you to cart the stroller around in the car. The one problem is that within less than one month, one of the back wheels bent! I don't recall hitting the stroller hard, so I assume it was from folding and toting the stroller around. A bent wheel makes the stroller turn to one side, making it useless. I called the company and they said they had not heard it was a problem and told me that the warranty does not cover it. I had to order a replacement axle and pay for it ($8 plus more for shipping). I'm waiting for it to arrive so that I can replace it. Hopefully the wheels won't bend again. Perhaps the company could use stronger metal on their axles so this does not happen so easily.

A few issues but like it

4
Reviewer: Charles , Newport Beach, CA Date: November 28, 2006
Solid construction and great to run with. We had problems getting it to track straight but the vendor help line was very helpful. The assembly instructions are lousy and incomplete but it's pretty easy to put together. We have added aftermarket reflectors, bell, self-leveling drink holder, and the kidapottamus snuzzler - latter 2 sold elsewhere on this site. We plan to add the canopy, strap pads, stroll smart, and a light for better night visibility. We looked @ cheaper models but wanted good weight capacity for the long haul. We also looked @ stroller/trailer combos but reviews indicated this is a great idea having trouble executing. We bought ours in red - everybody seems to want dark colors like blue but remember this is your baby's safety you are talking about. Think about bicyclists in their wild-colored outfits; they stand out and that keeps them safe. We were nervous about buying online but local stores stock only a few units of junk brands; joggingstroller.com did a great job. Mom has yet to try unit due to C-section but dad has taken it out a lot. Baby loves unit and always falls asleep as long as dad's running; great when he is fussy. Baby, that is...

Overall Good Stroller

4
Reviewer: Anonymous , Green Bay, WI Date: July 11, 2006
Purchased the Q-series-single stroller and very satisfied with it. Quality construction, lightweight, folds easily and stylish. One minor factory defect: front brake head rubbed against wheel, but easily adjustable with wrench. Our 4 month old fits nicely into the stroller with the optional Kidopotamus seat liner.

I love my jogger!

Reviewer: Ashley , Atlanta, GA Date: June 28, 2006
I absolutely love my jogger. I use it practically every day. It's light and breaks well. It folds very easily to fit in my car when I need to take it to a race. The only change I would make would be to add a water bottle/cup holder. Otherwise, it's perfect for me!

This is a great basic stroller. Easy to handle and move with. My 9 mo. old loves it. I am a walker/jogger, and I find it handles well doing both. I only wish it had a cup holder! Overall very happy, would buy again.

I am enjoying my Q series jogging stroller!

4
Reviewer: Anonymous , Washington, DC Date: June 27, 2006
I absolutely love my Q series jogging stroller. The quick fold feature makes it very easy and convenient to get in and out of the car. The 16" wheels create a smooth ride for my son during our 3 mile jog about 2-3 days a week on the National Mall in Washington, DC. It also has enough storage space for personal items.

Makes being fit easier

4
Reviewer: Garett , Camarillo, CA Date: June 27, 2006
Absolutely love the Q-series jogging stroller. It is easy to assemble and use and makes life so much easier when taking walks or jogging! Very easy to transport just need to remember to snap the yellow straps (used when folding with just one hand!) after unfolding. The only reason this did not receive 5 stars are the straps, they could be a little nicer, they are nylon and seem kind of rough, some padding would be a nice option.

Everything but comfortable!

4
Reviewer: Anonymous , Broomfield, CO Date: June 26, 2006
The stroller is everything I was hoping it was going to be. I run on both trails and streets/sidewalk - and this stroller goes everywhere with ease. You can push it on a slight downhill slope and not touch it for several hundred feet as it rolls very freely. The folding mechanism is great - and yet the stroller is still very stable/durable. My only comment is that my 7-month-old hates the stroller. He'll ride in it, but won't smile until you take him out of it. I don't know if it scares him, or if he is uncomfortable, or more than likely, a little of both. This may be a symptom of the jogging-style stroller in general, as I have not tried others with him. This is the only reason I didn't rate this stroller a 5.

it serves its purpose but could be better

4
Reviewer: Anonymous , Potomac Falls, VA Date: June 25, 2006
It serves its purpose but it would be better if it had a detachable handlebar (my son likes putting his legs up & playing w/ stroller toys). Also, it tends to veer towards the left for some reason, can't figure out why since the tires are fine.

Comments from The Staff:

These typically do not pull. Try removing the front wheel and realigning it or even turning it around. If that doesn't work, try calling Baby Jogger at 800-241-1848 for assistance.

SO easy to use

5
Reviewer: Anonymous , Birmingham, AL Date: June 24, 2006
This stroller is extremely easy to use, fold, and transport. I do run with it, but since we have older children also, we wanted something we could use at the park and at soccer games. We've even used it in larger stores like Lowe's and Home Depot. My husband sort of made fun of me at first for wanting a jogging stroller, but he is now eating his words. He loves it as much as I do. We're both sold on the quick-fold mechanism. If you're looking for a good jogging stroller that you want to use for running and other outdoor activities, this one's for you.

Love the Quick Fold action. Over all great. The only - was the front wheel. It took a little work to make it balanced to avoid weering off to either the right or left.

Q Series = a great jogger

5
Reviewer: Mike , Nutley, NJ Date: June 24, 2006
I have been using my Q series jogger to run with my two year old daughter. The jogger is excellent, from its ability to run smooth and straight, to its ability to go through all terrain, to its convenience of folding up, seat padding, its storage capacity. The tether and hand brake work smoothly as well. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Love my Baby Jogger!

4
Reviewer: Lisa , Los Angeles Date: June 23, 2006
I am a new, active mom and had my first child - a boy - who is now just a year. I always loved to jog and soon learned that I could not do so with the regular every day four wheel variety stroller. So, I did some research and found the Baby Jogger Q Series. I also have a very strong, althetic 60lb Boxer doggie to contend with, so I needed something easy to manage. I spoke with the customer service reps over the phone to describe my jogging style, mileage, etc. and they concurred that this model would suit my needs. In short, I love my Baby Jogger - it is perfect for my needs, hiking and jogging and walking about 15 miles a week. It is smooth riding and comfortable for baby. It does not pivet to make turns, so those you need to steer a bit manually. Also, it is too heavy and large for daily use, so I still keep my regular light weight portable, but for exercise, I love it and would highly recommend it for active moms.

Great stroller

5
Reviewer: S , Chico, CA Date: June 23, 2006
I purchased my Q series stroller from you after signing up for my first 5k with my daughter. We have found that it is not only a stable, comfortable stroller for both baby and mom, but it's a great travel stroller as well. We fly often, and use this stroller instead of our Bugaboo Frog. It's quick collapse function, and one piece design make it great for gate-check. Also, it's never shown any damage from what I would think is pretty poor treatment. Great stroller, great price, great company.

Incredibly Easy Fold, Great Quality

Reviewer: Anonymous , Brooklyn, NY Date: October 17, 2005
I use the Q-Series single 2-3 times per week walking/running at Prospect Park with my son. The fold makes it easy to take on the subway, and the whole experience more enjoyable than my last jogger. I also like the padding on the back of the seat.
